? Myositis is a rare, incurable autoimmune disease usually diagnosed in people over 50.
? It causes extreme muscle weakness and damage, often causing patients to be wheelchair-bound.
? The Myositis Association supports patients and their families around the world.

? Your whole family is invited to a free event, Fun Fit Flex at Tom Bennett Park in Bradenton,
Saturday, October 23, 9:30 to 1:30.
? Help raise funds and awareness to support the 200 local patients with myositis.
? Enjoy a non-competitive walk and fitness demos like Tai Chi, Yoga and even Belly Dancing.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEPRESS RELEASE: • Myakka Moonlighters sponsor the CC Carter Cornbread Cooking Contest and Music Fest. • Myakka Moonlighters kick off their third season of outdoor concerts with a cornbread cooking contest and music fest.Myakka City, Florida September 5, 2021 /PRNewswireMyakka Moonlighters announced today that on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 from 2 pm to 7 pm there will be a home-baked cornbread cooking contest and music fest. It will be held in the park behind Myakka City Grocery, 37155 State Road 70 East, Myakka City, Florida, 34251. Admission is FREE.Participants need to bring in their very best home-baked cornbread for entry into the contest. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded to the top three winners. Carol Felts will be one of our judges.Our musicians have volunteered their talents for the event. A tip jar will be up on the stage. There may be people passing the hat as well. Please be generous. Featured event musicians:• CC Carter, from Bradenton, a country-blues Americana singer-songwriter• Sparky Baxley, from Myakka City, a folk-blues singer-songwriter• Lucky Mud, Mike and Maggie McKinney, are an Americana folk duo from Econfina, in the Florida panhandle. Their music is swampy tonk and folkabilly.• Pearse Kelly Band, electric five-string banjo virtuoso performing originals and covers• Liz Ainscough, a new on the scene singer-songwriter• Cassie Jean and the Fireflies, a singer-songwriter from Manatee County accompanied by Rich Odato.
